Day trip throughout E. Attica
- Site of the Battle of Marathon
- Temple of Artemis
-Unfortunately this site was close for cleaning until June 5 so we had to stand on the side of the road to learn about Artemis and the traditions of her cult - Archaeological Museum of the Temple of Artemis
-lots of artifacts--pottery, statues, etc. that allowed historians to develop stories about the period and people - Temple of Poseidon
-the best view of the trip so far--the first view that was comparable to my experiences in Florence
-they have had a very rainy spring so luckily everything is still green!
- Beach at the foot of the Temple
-went to a beach, some people swam, I just sat in the sand and enjoyed the sun :)
